Miss Bliss: Today we're going to try an exciting new art form! Beni: Miss Bliss, my sister wears a uniform to school. Can we wear uniforms, too? Miss Bliss: No. It's called origami! Please take a sheet of paper. Beni: If we get uniforms, will they come with hats, too? Miss Bliss: No. Now fold along with me as we make an origami duck! Beni: If we get uniforms and hats, would we be issued weapons, too? Miss Bliss: No. Fold this here, this over here - and, voila! A duck! Beni: This cootie-catcher is lethal at a distance of 20 feet! Kevin: Every time she tries something new, this happens. Beni: And I got a paper cut.

Pretty soon they all go tho the shrink who prescribes Ritalin for the whole class. ADD is rampant in this class!!!
OR…. they’re just a bunch of 5 year olds.

All that’s missing are paper airplanes, also origami.

@margueritem: “Fortune duck”? Really? There’s a chain of leather goods shops in China with that name (in English). A friend got a purse with F DUCK spelled out in gold letters.

Yes, it is a repeat. I have it in my collection book.
We call cootie catchers “fortune tellers”.

How is it a time out if they are all there together, allowed to talk and with no work to do?

Funny! Yes, you told fortunes using your duck. Some of the inside triangles were colored with crayons, and some had numbers on them. I think the fortunes had to be simple answers like the Magic Eight ball gives.

I hate it when everyone always says to me, “Oh, being an art teacher must be such a fun job!” LOL (I really do love it, but now I teach in high school…you probably wouldn’t want to expose sweet little Alice to high schoolers just yet…)

I think Miss Bliss needs a time out. I think she has a duck obsession. Yea, she’s ducked up. ;-)

These time outs are like break time!

Miss Bliss seems to be increasingly out of control.
cutiepie29 over 13 years ago
I think that the “time out” is actually for Miss Bliss. They sit in the corner so that she can calm down enough to not cause some serious mental damage that will cause the kids to be in therapy for the rest of their lives.

Yes it is a repeat… I read all of them from beginning to end on this site the other day.
