My first Border Collie was such a gentledog. We thought we were giving him a big treat when we found a B&B that also raised sheep and trained BCs. We excitedly took him out to the sheep pen and waited to see him “strike the pose.” He sniffed politely, exchanging greetings with the sheep, then trotted off down the path, turning around as if to say, “You ready?” We were just glad when we got one that was interested in toys!

When he gets past the starter sheep his next hurdle will be not falling asleep while taking inventory of the flock!

I still think postcards from NZ should be upside down… :^) unless, of course, the usual characters are in Australia.
