I knew it would be either the gully cat or the rock snake (not the dreaded “queen snake”)… the rock snake sneaks up behind you, and throws a rock at you… but they have terrible distance. ;-)
And, did Lucy put all their duffel bags on the bus, including the “camp” hats they always wear to show that they are at camp?
I love their little luggage neatly packed by the parents for a perfect stay away from home. Welcome to the summer camp. The other name for keeping kids busy on the holidays. This would be lot more fun than at home.

If it’s not rock snakes, it’s another imaginary wildlife creature that Linus somehow knows all kinds of trivia about.

Linus looks like a sailor coming home on shore leave.

If the Camp bus picked them up directly from school, where did they get the duffle bags and hats?

Did kids really wear those fez hats when they went to camp back in the day?

Sorry, Linus, no gully-cats. They were eaten by the Queen snakes!

Don’t forget the queen snakes. I hear they hide behind the gully cats …

I’d be more worried about that guy lurking in the woods with the ski mask and the machete …

Remember, Linus. “Never grieve a gully cat!”
