In my city, the “privileged” kids attend extra classes all year: dance, riding, swimming, sports, languages etc. Then in the summer they are herded off to camp, some of them for the entire vacation. You wonder why their parents had kids at all, when they never want to spend any time with them.

Everything I’ve seen of Peanuts suggests the kids live in what would be considered a suburban environment.

Probably a good idea for kids to get a little “outdoor education”, so that they don’t grow up thinking that ‘chocolate milk comes from brown cows’ ….

Never went to camp as a kid; however, went to one as an adult and the cabin was filled with daddy long legs.
