This one is perfectly timed – my best bud/roommate PJ turned 69 today. I celebrated by singing him the Volga boatmen’s happy birthday dirge first thing this morning. I’m so mean…but I made up for it by opening up the package of croissants I bought yesterday. London broil & cheesecake for dinner tonight!

Not true. Old is just the new old. We baby boomers thought it was never going to happen to us. I’ve been wrong about other things too.
