Up here it’s been about -17C (about 0F). Of course a few days ago it was about 0C (about 32F). It wasn’t till I was quite grown up that I learned that “to talk about the weather” meant “to have a boring conversation”. Here it’s just the reverse. The weather is always new and exciting! If you don’t like it, just wait five minutes for it to change.
Broomie is quite endearing for her lack of tact, not in spite of it. But as a South Australian I wonder what in the world being a Yukoner has to do with it.
