@ Dry… I doubt it was intended as a slam… I read it as a positive. Vocational Schools and the Military can do a great job of giving young folks a) direction; b) regimen; and c) great on-the-job experience. Some of them need that experience, then go on to build on it by going back to school with new perspective.
A lot of repairmen (plumbers, mechanics, electricians, etc.) make very good money. Plus, they have a better chance of owning their own business, if they want to. Nothing wrong with working with your hands, if that’s where your talents and interests lie.
