To me, the dangerous element in the joke is that the legendary Molly Hatchet was supposed to have been an infamous Civil War era prostitute, known for beheading her clientele. Some versions of the tale claim she was the vengeful ghost of a murdered prostitute.
Joking with a teenaged girl about a possible link to a prostitute, human or supernatural, is very, very dicey.
I would give a huge discount if we could just nuke this stupid story line. I have been dying to know how Gil the boys are doing…Like…Meanwhile the boys have lost every game and have canned their rally octopus!!!
In all reality , I saw the the boys team getting on a bus headed for Marine boot camp. They dropped out because they were To Cool for School and enlisted . Semper Fi !
The “Molly who?” in the last panel doesn’t make sense, because she is in fact talking to Molly Hatcher. “What joke? What are you talking about?” would make more sense. Of course, that’s the same question most of us ask daily, after reading Gil Thorp.
T-shirt or whoever guy probably should’ve gone all Rodney Dangerfield: “Whoa, baby, annoyance is my middle name. Whaddaya mean you gotta go to class. Come back and see me when you have no class.”
Today’s episode of Milford Masterpiece Theatre presents a cameo appearance in P1 of the late, great Dan Blocker. Dad burn it lil’ Joe! Errr, Molly! R & W definitely paying attention to us with Molly referencing a timeline she is 17 years old. Flirtin’ with Disaster was released in 1979.
After wearing their new shirts the girls get bombed by Central City. Mimi points out: “Not only is there no I in Team, there’s also no H, double P, or O.”

P1, You sir, are not too cool for school.
P2, You’re annoyed?!? You should try reading this nonsense.
P3, The flower child really is too cool for school since she doesn’t even know who she’s talking to.

The people that she should be annoyed with shouldn’t be this Del Bader look-alike guy but her hilarious parents
