In my place, they always leave in the box the plastic knife they cut the doughnut with, as if to reassure that they didn’t bite it. Makes me laugh.
This is why you are always first in line to get how many doughnuts you need. You just have to get greedy every once in a while.

Two half doughnuts make a whole and better than no doughnut.
Two half doughnuts would cause me to be suspicious as to why someone hadn’t eaten them.
