Well, Happy Father’s Day to you too, Misters Brown and VanPelt.
I bet Peppermint Patty got her dad something special.
Being a father is the only profession where you first graduate and then complete your degree.
My Mom always got a Fathers Day card AND Mother’s Day card because she was both to me.
For someone who fell asleep in the Lord ten years ago, Latha na h-Athraichean toilichte, or Laetus dies patris!
I don’t think Lucy gets the idea.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
The “sort of” was a red flag.
They never mention their father… I wonder if he passed on…
In the first panel, it looks like Charlie Brown is holding a card for the Match Game SUPER MATCH/HEAD TO HEAD question.
Go figure, CB.
With luck, I won’t have to fix something.
I think good ol’ Charlie Brown is right – this is the 15th comic on my morning list, but only the third even to refer to Father’s Day…
We know Lucy’s mom isn’t a single mother, possibly deserving of father’s day recognition. She just had another child.
Being a father is a job that once you get, you’ll refuse to quit, and at which you can’t afford to fail.
Mr. Van Pelt’s a lousy father?
Huh. This strip came out the first year — 1972 — that Father’s Day was recognized nationally.
Strangely enough, the feminist magazine Jezebel once all but tweeted Lucy’s line with an apparent lack of irony.
Once a feminist always a feminist.
Something is seriously wrong here.
