Huey Lewis, in spite of his musical talent, doesn’t get to define hipness or squareness. As these are personal and mutable qualities, only YOU get to decide which, if either, you are.
I personally choose to define myself as goddess-like rhombozoidal.
Oh, and you are too a scientist. All that means is that you attempt to use the scientific method in order to describe a segment of reality, which is what you did.
Granted, your terminology is vague and your ‘expert’ may or may not actually BE an expert – but every scientist ends up making some kind of basic assumptions! (Law of Gravity, speed of light, hip=square…)
