Old joke, Slim, but yes, that’s just the problem with many genealogical records. The Bibles deteriorate and the families get frustrated trying to read the notes in them. Copy the records off, xerox them, microfilm them, and if you enter them in a computer, print hard copies. Your great great grandchildren will love you for it.

I am one of the rare ones that actually likes the humor in GA. This one though made me roll my eyes and wish I’d never read it.

    At least Slim stopped eating…….

The only one that seems to get a yearlong story arc right is Brooke McEldowney of 9 Chickweed Lane. Edda’s grandmother’s wartime experiences seemed to fly by, the writing was so crisp and engrossing.

Y-P, thanks for the tip – Tribune Media Services handles GA, so I sent them a note, which will probably be ignored, unless more folks comment on the issue. I hope there will be a few, since major media corporations hate situations that call for retractions or corrections. They would make sure the 1/9 sin wouldn’t happen again if their attention was obtained.

I suppose the horse has been beaten to death, so I will shut up now. I hope Mr Scancarelli will do the honorable thing and leave it at that.

You’ve not only beaten the horse to death, but like Beethoven, it’s decomposing. Give it a rest already!
