Actually had this happen to me. Kid in a remedial math lab (at a community college) claimed the program (the course was computer based) had the answer to a long division wrong. I asked him to show me and he entered the operands into the calculator backwards.

This reminds me very much of some of the conversations I had in college when studying engineering.

I build stuff and need to figure angles and lengths of sides. Not being a trained carpenter, I don’t know the tricks so I have to resort to my high school trig instead. I never thought I would ever use that.

Ouch that does hurt Eugene, boys smarter then the smartest kid.

Do any of the calculators still use reverse polish notation, haven’t used anything beyond a basic calculator in years.

I think I mentioned before that I have dyscalculia. Adding and subtracting are usually okay, multiplication and division, esp. the latter, can sink me. I try and try to do math, but get such a headache. Sometimes, it kicks in, and I can do it. Mostly, I can’t get the numbers to behave for me. All of the math Amend uses is way beyond my comprehension.

I had a good friend a few years ago that was some kind of Mathematician, his angle of his dangle was slightly off.
