It’s for the best, honestly. I really don’t think it would’ve worked between those two, especially considering the haphazard circumstances it started under.
Linton will be fine, as long as he doesn’t ponder the situation too much. (i.e., he was just told he wasn’t “man enough” by someone who thought she was going to marry Darren, and previously had a thing for Corky. Granted, Blossom may not have the best taste, but that’d still sting. As long as he doesn’t think about it.) (Which he won’t.)
Interesting development. How much can be taken at face value? Has Linton concluded that he’s better off with no girlfriend than with Blossom? Does Blossom still fancy Daz (“real man”) over boy Linton? Does she secretly like Linton but is putting him down to spare his feelings, for some reason? I guess we wait and find out on Allison’s timetable.
