Between the age, eyepatch, and heart condition, you will never get an aviation medical approval certificate. You can buy and operate a sailboat for a tenth of what the same size plane would cost and you can drop the sails, anchor, and take a drink and nap any time you need one.

She’s complaining about high hemlines? I guess the rules are different for teachers.

Good for you, Mr Knott. Life is better far away from school.

Personally, considering how long he’d been doing the job, I think Knott’s earned the early retirement. Stop pestering the poor man.

Besides…it’s not HIS problem anymore, now is it? ;)

I suspect that Mr. Knott is trying to politely get across the concept “not my monkeys, not my circus”…

Wow! Day 2 of reading for me…. and I continue to be very impressed and excited to read more. I will start to comment more about the action as soon as I have a bit more bearing on the story.

Bless you Mr. Allison. The mention of Britten in the comics made my day

He probably doesn’t want to chance being blinded in his other eye either.

I prefer Vaughan Williams to Britten, personally.
