Our big ol cow cat passed a few weeks ago. He was such a good cat. So patient with the kids when they were younger. He had been having a lot of health issues. Kidneys, Thyroid, Heart. We tried to make him as comfortable as possible hoping he would still be with us until our son got home from college. He was his cat. Alas it was not to be. We knew it was his time when he stopped eating, drinking, and finally was unable to walk. My wife held him in her arms as we drove to the vet’s office. He passed on the drive there. They prepared him for burial gratis. He was 16 and had been seeing the same Vet for 14 years. When we called our son to let him know he asked if we could wait to bury him until he got home in a couple of weeks. We did. Kept him in a freezer until we could inter him together.
Somehow, I got a thought of Luddie playing Charades:
“First word. No, first syllable? You’re grabbing that blue ball. No, borrowing? Blue? Borrowing? ‘Something old, something new’… Stop. Uh, something? Old? New? Yes, new! what is this? Two? Two news? News! Second syllable. Something’s crawling all over you. Spiders? Ants? Ants! Together? News ants? Nuisance! Yes, you certainly are…”

If you start your garden seeds inside, do NOT let your cat near the tomatoes! They are extremely toxic, and they just killed mine.

New puppy spends about half the day on my lap sleeping. Fortunately, he is small enough I can type over him.

My cat loves watching nature shows and sometimes go behind to look for the animals when they’ve left the screen. It is very entertaining

Perhaps Ludwig was performing that shadow play from “It’s My Life” by the Talking Heads.
