I think we need a bigger rocket …

I know Estes was making still cameras you could put in rockets back in the 60s. Seems a digicam that could take a few seconds of footage would have been available by the time this strip came out. I don’t know for sure, but maybe a rocket hobbyist out there knows….

Do kids still make rockets? Where’s my insurance man’s number?

Today’s strip is hilarious! With all of Jason’s supposed intellect, he would launch the rocket while it’s pointed straight at him! Maybe that’s what makes it so funny! Even Marcus has some doubts. Funny!

Well Jason, in the future you’ll have tiny video cams that can easily be strapped to that rocket.

Houston, we have a problem,

There are now many model rockets you can buy that have small video cameras in the nose cone.

Surely you two could figure out the concept of counterbalance!

harmgb–Perhaps they were available, but were they affordable?

Quick Google search, $70 to $150 for video, $15 for stills.

the way the rocket flys is should go straight up

had a friend who mentioned they had a cat who hid her kittens and they could not find them … so they got a motion camera collar for the cat … takes a pic every 30 seconds … put it on the mother, then uploaded it later to their PC when the cat came back … saw all kinds of interesting pics from the roof and fence … saw the kittens and figgered out they were in a room over the garage and they got them out safely.
