    Mr Magoo introduced my generation to some of the classics: Moby Dick, Don Quixote, Cyrano de Bergerac and of course A Christmas Carol

    I can still hear Jim Backus doing that line, which was always featured in the end credits for Magoo’s cartoons.

    Mr. Magoo, one of the comic greats! I remember when he came on CBS in the 70’s with his dog, McBarker. Leslie McNielsen’s movie was a good idea (and effort), but it did not really do Mr. Magoo justice.

    I grew up on Mr Magoo and Jim Backus’ voice doing so. I recognized him from Gilligan’s Island later.
