Even I’m trying to grow a beard (in order to look older), but I get parental complaints once in a while. This here 35-year-old thinks he still looks like an adolescent when clean shaven.

I once asked my husband to grow a mustache for me. I like mustaches. He tried. However, even though his hair is dark brown – almost black – his mustache grew in clear! It resembled the stuff they use to make whiskers for stuffed animals. It grew in nice, soft, and thick…but invisible. I managed to get a glimpse of what he would look like when the light hit it just right. He looked great. I then told him that, he could get rid of it if he wanted to.

uh, Jon….about that idea to be more “manly”…you don’t understand the concept, do you?

It may not be what most people consider “manly”, but asking his girlfriend first is smart.

Be careful!! When hubby retired he let his beard grow. About a month later we visited the great granddaughter and she screamed and cried and would not go near him. He went and immediately shaved. Then baby girl was happy.

It’s not a decision, a beard would grow naturally. And naturally, Liz will tell Jon to shave it off.

Our own late Kings Edward VII and George V had beards and so his cousin the unfortunate Tsar Nicholas II of Russia!

Grow up Jon. You dont need permission to cultivate your own land.

Y’know, I’d actually be kind of curious to see Jon with a beard. Just for the heck of it. Whaddya waiting for, Jonny?
