I’ve never understood the concept of shopping as entertainment. I usually go into a mall with a specific idea of what I want and get frustrated if I can’t find it right away.
It’s like the proposed tax increases corporations wail over and threaten will sink their business, crush innovation and force them to lay off thousands if passed into law. They honestly believe the public hasn’t noticed their companies haven’t introduced any innovation since the Middle Ages, they’ve been clinging to capital all along like Ebenezer Scrooge, and they’ve cut their workforce every few quarters for the past 30 years … all in spite of receiving abundant corporate welfare and tax breaks out the whazoo.
One of the first things I learned when growing up was to beware of a red line over the price on the ticket. It meant that some time later you would see a higher price being ‘covered’ by the red line and a ‘sale’ sign on the item. This was usually at so called discount stores.

But enough of the customers ARE happy idiots unable to do any critical thinking.
We are a species that will pay at least twice as much for the same thing, if it has a cool logo.
