I decided that any day I wake up, can get out of bed, get dressed, and can leave the house for any reason, is a great day. Just think of all the people who can’t do all (or sometimes any) of those things.
How about the fact that you can still get up and go to the bathroom on your own? Sure it may take longer, but its how the journey ends that matters, not how you get there.
Be grateful that you “need” to go to the bathroom.. The next phase in getting old is needing someone to change your diaper first thing in the morning. That stage .. is hard to spin
I begin to rejoice about my worn out shoes when I met a man who had none, who also had learned to rejoice about not having shoes when he met a man who had no feet. I have visited and talked to people in all types of situations of life over the years. from those who had much and those who had nothing and I mean nothing, from those who had all of life’s years to journey and those who were taking their last breaths. And the thing that has ALWAYS impressed me is that no matter what – we choose the state of mind to be in. No one else but us, individually, decides our outlook and responses to our life and situation. So Mr. Pendleton – how about “I am so glad that my urinary track works” for you see Mr. Pendleton, there was a time mine quit working – and I am so glad that it started again :)

Ziggy never grows old so he doesn’t know what it’s like. Need to get eyes and knees working to find the bathroom.

Well on the bright side, at least you have got trousers and slippers – and you have got way more hair than Ziggy!

At least you don’t have to empty a colostomy bag when you get up.

It’s very easy for Ziggy to go to the bathroom. He wears no pants.
