I remember that from the 70´s, “Do unto others, then split!”

Machiavelli: “Do unto others before any others can do unto you.” Probably picked it up from Gengis Khan. Or maybe not. Historians differ.

A version I heard was about doing to others before they do it to you. Most unfriendly.
