Whoa! There are some big cars out there!

All you need is someone staring out the window and saying, “It’s full of cars!”

I remember the lovely little stunt in Seattle back in 2001 where a black monolith made its appearance…

There are four books in the 2001 series. This panel reminds me of 2061: Odyssey Three.

The opening shot of the sun in the Title banner is great.

I have Also Sprach Zarathustra stuck in my head.

    Kewl… I like it.

Oops! The vending machine company accidentally took out the vending machine and put that in it’s place. They will fix it later today. That item is scheduled for a moon shoot to be determined at a later date.

Guessing this is a “comic I don’t understand” for a good number of readers… In the meantime, “HAL, open the pod bay doors!”

For some reason all that came to mind was a quote used in Pogo .

“We have met the enemy and he is us” Pogo Possum (full name-Ponce de Leon Montgomery County Alabama Georgia Beauregard Possum)

Which was used in a lengthier form in a foreword of the book The Pogo Papers .

“Traces of nobility, gentleness and courage persist in all people, do what we will to stamp out the trend. So, too, do those characteristics which are ugly. It is just unfortunate that in the clumsy hands of a cartoonist all traits become ridiculous, leading to a certain amount of self-conscious expostulation and the desire to join battle. There is no need to sally forth, for it remains true that those things which make us human are, curiously enough, always close at hand. Resolve then, that on this very ground, with small flags waving and tinny blasts on tiny trumpets, we shall meet the enemy, and not only may he be ours, he may be us. Forward!”  Walt Kelly, June 1953

Well, maybe not. We could use some intelligence on this planet.
