I like that Gabby’s word/picture illustrates the Middle East saying about the camel and the tent. As is often true with ancient proverbs, it’s come to be told in a variety of ways freighted with a variety of meanings, often contradictory.
But the simplest, and the one I like, is
If you allow camel’s nose in your tent, soon you’ll have the entire camel in there.
I also love the way this strip quietly tucks in a play on words, of even a full fledged pun, without feeling obligated to call attention to it. It’s not, “Let me hit you over the head with my outrageous joke!” but “Here’s something to think about. How are these words seemingly alike but meaningfully different?”
