I generally don’t forget important dates. This year in another dimension, my other self will be celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary but I won’t.

My first wife and I were married April 1st. For some reason-even though we have been divorced for 40 years-the date still sticks in my mind. Hmmmm…

I just remember that 37 years ago, I went down and paid two dollars for a marriage license and by thunder, she has been worth every penny!

One of my wallpapers is a wedding photo with the date on the bottom. I’ve never missed the day, although my wife has.

At my age, I’m lucky if I can remember why I started this comment. . . . I’m sure it’ll come to me. Eventually. Or not. Maybe.

My first son was born on 14 April (Titanic hit the iceberg) and my second was born on 6 August (bombing of Hiroshima). Makes it easy to remember the dates.

My late brother had the right idea. His birthday was February 14th, St. Valentine’s Day. He got married on that day, as well, so he’d never forget his anniversary or his favorite valentine.

We have a family member whose birthday is Dec. 25. She always complained that nobody ever gave her any birthday presents.

I remember when computers first became popular, every instruction book had a Gandalf-style wizard on the cover.

I have an aunt and uncle who share the same birth date (but not the same year). They got married on the same day. Neither one has any excuse to forget a birthday or anniversary.
