Well, that was a fine, well-played “Get out of Jail” Monopoly card Andy did there.

@Number Three Today’s strip is not even slightly funny our Hero Mr Andrew Capp is trying to be glib but fails horribly :o{ right? my avatar today being fathers day is a photo from our wedding album and it has a picture of my DAD that I miss terribly , he passed away in 2000 and did not see my sons when they were born , did you get your dad something nice? even a hug would do , how was your day? ours should be busy but not hectic I hope.

Before you crow about it, you should at least wait until he’s out of the panel!

My thinking is that the copper knew Andy’s reputation and just didn’t want to bother to haul him in.

I have to help out Andy here…i never understood arresting people for public intoxication, if they are not driving or doing something blatantly dangerous. Andy is being responsible by crawling..less danger to others, unless they trip over him. From the cop’s perspective: Seems like if Andy is so drunk he can’t walk, that he wouldn’t be able to talk, either, so the cop should have that evidence to arrest him.

Police Services have to lower the standards to make up the numbers. The RCMP are even considering recruiting people with minor criminal records.

Apparently he spends most of his time school patrol.

A real Poplar bobby would have at least pointed Andy in the proper direction.
