Well, today is first day of Astronomical Summer. Meteorological Summer started the first day of June. Also today is also known as Midsummer, as in Midsummer Night’s dream. Something to think about.
Had just fallen asleep around 10 pm when the dogs discovered a rat on the deck. It was still dusk. Official night 11:41 pm – 2:43 am. I think I got 3 hours of sleep.

Beat him to the punch and stepped on his line. Unforgivable.

Today is the longest day of the year in North America. Starting tomorrow the days will start becoming shorter.

As you get older you need more sleep. The trick is getting your partner to accommodate you. Mine likes TV in bed and I learned to sleep through it.

Couldn’t you just wait until tomorrow to say the days are getting shorter? You seem too impatient.

The sun rises at 6 a.m. and sets 6 p.m. every day all year long at the Galapagos Islands. (As well as elsewhere on the equator, of course).
