Ain’t retirement great? It’s nice to not HAVE to get up unless you want to. I knew one man who was so used to getting up at 6:00 to go to work he continued that after he was retired. Not me!
In my 7th. decade of life, am blessed with good vision and incredible hearing so, retired or not, I love getting up to watch the sunrise, and hear the bird concert. Sometimes I take a power nap (20 minutes) to refresh.
My last job in a chain drug store, I was off Sat & Mon. So I sort of liked Mondays. Only sort of as I did most of my errands. Now, TUESDAY was a different matter! Being retired, but still a morning person & now having joined an exercise class at the gym, I still get up early. (The class is not mandatory & no attendance is taken & no tests or exams, but it is a fun class & the classmates are great, so it’s a better reason to get up & go than the job- which I did like).
I retired from the corporate world 15 years ago at age 65, and now consult in the same industry. Work from my home office, every day is casual dress “Friday.” Wouldn’t be doing it if I wasn’t making money.

I am retired and have plans for all my Mondays. Ask me on Tuesday what I did.

Or as I used to say, “Happy, not Monday”, but Mondays don’t me no more since I retired too.
