Actually, in Georgia many years ago, went through a cop’s speed trap and DID break his radar! Didn’t stop until across the Florida line, a Florida state trooper came up, and told the county mounty to get lost. He laughed his butt off when the mounty showed him the broken radar. Mounty left, and the Florida guy and I talked cars for a while. Also, I’d just gotten back from ‘Nam, and his brother was over there. Benning bumper sticker didn’t hurt that time

Certainly, officer. I was driving 2 miles an hour under the speed limit.

It’s not broken. I think he’s trying to read the speed off his taser.

Fortunately the driver is in a Fifth Amendment zone.

(A couple of months ago I got pulled over by a cop who asked me how long I’d had the car. I told him “About ten minutes” and he believed it. I had just picked it up from the rental place, and the cop’s license-plate scanner reported the registration as invalid. Had to get another car but that’s okay because a man my age doesn’t need 400 horse-power.)

As Admiral Ackbar said, “It’s a (speed) trap!”

It looks like he took his hair dryer to work, and at home his wife is trying to dry her hair with his radar gun.

A police officer once asked a friend how fast his Dodge Challenger would go and my friend replied: “70 mph.”

Rookie! Now he’s just gonna say, “If you don’t know I’m not gonna tell you”.

I would answer, “At the speed limit. It was on auto setting…maybe one mile over.” I would do so to honor our current President and to see if I could get away with it.

That is exactly what happened to me, Once a while back, i was driving South on the I-5 when a ChiP’s cruiser flashed me the red light, and escorted me and the family to exit the freeway, And onto the street, Once there first he asked me “Do you know at what speed you were driving” I said “No!” and I added “I was busy trying to keep up with the fast traffic going the same way I was going myself” He was puzzled by my answer and said “So if everybody is speeding you are doing it too?” I again responded “Well, definitely yes! otherwise I could cause a big accident wouldn’t I ?” He just returned my driver’s licence and asked me to drive safely True story
