I’ve had cats that would lick the salt off of potato chips but luckily none that ever knocked over the bowls of chips.

My Serena didn’t care for the dip but she would eat all of the chips, no matter what flavor.

What happened to Elvis’s epaulettes? Did Lupin knock them off when he leaped in? I first thought that was one of them just below his right arm in panel 3 but then realized it was the dip.

OT: Nushi update – just a quick one. Nushi hasn’t climbed her cat tree again today, but she did play a modified game of chase with Kira, which was wonderful to see. Fed her a snack at 4:30 am last night and no throw up that I saw this morning!! However we did have an unexpected bladder release that really caught her off-guard and meant a full change of bed clothes and she was all wet. Got her cleaned up without too much fuss and we went about our day. Kira has been interacting with her more,and twice I’ve seen her clean her head for a bit, which she had stopped doing since Nushi got sick.

Shot went ok. Learned today that I can mix the gabapentin with some of the chicken mouse from her treat sticks and she’ll eat it all up. May try without the gabapentin tomorrow just to see. I worry about her wobble. It’s so variable and hard to quantify. And it’s SO important to notice if symptoms are getting worse so you can modify dosage immediatley!

Today is a day that I don’t have any appointments and or errands! AND it’s not a holiday here either! LOL OMC whatever shall I do with myself? Netflix has Stranger Things, hmmm heat index is at 40C (104F).. yup stay indoors, and watch Netflix!

Yesterday i raised the blinds in the dining room to cat height instead of just opening them.

Kiki is a window sitter. :) Right now she is sitting on the arm of the couch watching the birds. I’m trying to encourage calm watching by reaching up once in a while and gently petting her.

That isn’t easy to do. She’s an aggressive rubber up againster. :D

Off Topic: I just heard that the Los Angeles area had a pretty good shake just now. Anyone here feel it? My favorite quake story was from my next door neighbor (I lived in Los Angeles during the Whittier Quake of a few decades ago.) She had two cats and said they both spent the day sitting on the TV and glaring at the carpet as though to say, “What was that all about. Don’t you dare do that again!!!”

I’m going to let it sit for a bit while I work on the new story, then go back and reread it to see if there is anything I want to change or need to fix.

Happy 4th of July to the neighbours to the south! We can hear and see fireworks from across the bay so we can celebrate both holidays :) Fortunately my 2 boys aren’t bothered by the noise.

Last night, my Clayton was out when some neighbors set off firecrackers. I held the door open while Clayton came back in. I calmed him by letting him curl up on my lap while I used a streaming service to bring up and watch “Feed the Kitty.” This most adorable of Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies shorts had both of us laughing and weeping and, above all, relaxing. If you’ve never seen this short, in which huge bulldog Marc Antony adopts a black-and-white kitten (named Pussyfoot in later cartoons), try to find it, be it on streaming, DVD, whatever. But have tissues nearby.

Hello Orbsters!! Reaching the end of a rather long day. Much good in it, yes. Also though, the neighborhood yahoos are still at it at 23:24 (11:24pm) and I’m trying to keep my furbabies balanced, finally coax them to eat, etc. And so I think of all of our “fur-family”, and am sending BIG BOOPS, PURRS, SNUGGLES, HUGS, AND ALL to EVERYONE in need!!! This is from me, my fur-loving smooth skinned kids, and my fur-kids! May we all come to the next day happy, healthy, whole, and balanced!!
