Mr. Meyer, you are one of the few cartoonists EVER that is witty, talented, and funny enough to make me laugh with EVERY strip. It actually angers me that you aren’t (yet) as well-known and appreciated as legends like Charles Schultz and Bill Watterson. You certainly deserve to be. Thanks for all the laughs.
This strip is unique not only in the way he stacks the balloons, but also the banter itself. Very clever. Yes, me too, I’d like to see him come back and do more. The responses are not really bludgeons, they are more like very sharp needles.
I guess the workplace portrayed here consists of the remaining few workers who are so incompetent that they could never find a job that didn’t suck worse, making it critically important not to lose this one
