Warbucks really shouldn’t smoke his cancer sticks in front of Annie.

Because they have no other criminal charges they can bring against BB Eyes. I mean, it’s not like he kidnapped anyone or got into a shootout with the cops or anything.

I see Tracy has a new coat in today’s strip. He has a supply of coats in addition to fedoras apparently. I could be totally off base with my next comment. I suspect Oliver Warbucks probably will not reveal the fate of his second wife unless he is subpoenaed and forced to testify which seems highly unlikely. Since the fate of Trixie became a part of this storyline I’d frankly like to have this question answered.

I have noticed that Comics Kingdom is now using GoComics coloring on the DT strip.

Sure, let’s bring Annie back. Then Little Nemo, Yellow Kid, Harold Teen, and maybe if we are lucky, the real Dick Tracy strip, before it became Mary Worth.

Why is she still their only hope? Wouldn’t this last shootout put BB Eyes away for life? Or do they just NEED that win?

The Little Princess probably has something to offer to Detective Tracy, even in Daddy’s judgmental presence, though I’m not sure anything is actually needed: B-B Eyes should be going away for a long time no matter what.

So off-and-on during this arc we’ve been talking about Annie’s age and time frame. Right after the “Mr. Was”/Atlantis sequence in late 2006/early 2007, Annie on January 19, 2007 steps through an Atlantean time machine and ends up interacting with an earlier “iteration” of herself in the actual story that was going on in the Little Orphan Annie of January 1939, drawn in the style of Harold Gray! (There were also two identical Sandys!) The two were separated quickly and by January 24 the next sequence in the story began. I thought the fact that they had different Annies in different iterations of the timeline (which we’ve seen DC’s Doomsday Clock recently do with Superman) was a playful way of addressing the long history of the strip. https://www.gocomics.com/annie/2007/01/19
