Turn out Lassa broke her leg when she was thrown (and Tarzan landed on top of her). After dispatching yet another numa to kitty paradise, the jungle man-thing simplified the artist’s composition for the coming panels.

Actually, we wouldn’t be able to see much of the action as the full moon would be illuminating the back side of everybody, not the side we are looking at.
