We’ve just had some bad thunder and lightning storms here in Portland, OR. It’s a fairly rare occurrence. My poor cats and dog were terrified and hid wherever they could. Funny they don’t get that upset with fireworks but that doesn’t happen as close to us where we live thank goodness.

Not just firework season, my dog and cat hate thunder storms even when they are in the far distance.
