I literally love watching the Kids’ Cooking Competition. So much promise, and so much spirit. Always reminds me of the way that when you’re a child, things are done for sheer joy.
When I was about 10 or 11, I had a friend spend the night for a sleepover. He was surprised the next morning when I — not my mother — made pancakes for breakfast. (Although I probably left the mess for her to clean up.)

I’m not entertained by contests of who’s “best”. Besides, you never know how much the producers have ‘tinkered’ with things.

He’s forgetting that it is the judges who have to eat it!

I learned to cook in the Boy Scouts; also learned to eat just about anything. Roast suckling pig? I’ve done it, over a wood fire.
