Well, they were certainly in sync – another sign of true love.

First love, but not the true love.

When did love suddenly enter the picture?

For some reason this one particular strip stood out in my mind all these decades. Maybe because there is some truth behind wet hair. Many people look very different when you take the hair factor out of it (EX: The gorgeous Farrah Fawcett looked very ordinary to me with her hair in curlers: https://media.vanityfair.com/photos/54286d0372bd5a4566c68ce7/master/w_608,h_405,c_limit/image.jpg )

Those kids got it bad. Martha sure does look cute in that swimsuit.

The day after we met, my (now) husband invited me over to his apartment to go swimming. He shared an apartment with his father. His younger sister (a year younger than me) was up visiting. After we swam for a while we went in. His sister invited me to sit on the couch with her while my husband took a shower. Soon after, the father came home…to see a tiny, scrawny, strange teenage girl sitting, soaking wet, on his couch! Yeah, I haven’t quite forgiven her for that stunt.

No, true love is putting up with that person’s crazy and / or hateful relatives!

everything’s better when wet

True love is being ready to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel with them because that is essentially what marriage is. Fun and tragedy and frustration and worry… and the trick is to make the fun the part we remember best.

I suppose that is as good a reason to follow your instincts as any. Take the plunge.

I am so not going to comment about what I’m thinking.

Martha always looks good. Soaking wet or not.

This strip has always been in the back of my mind since it first ran. I agree somewhat but I like to think of it’s more significant to look at someone right after they woke up from a night’s sleep. Unlike those mattress commercials….

note Michael isn’t looking where most men look when viewing a wet t-shirt contest. This is a totally different situation.

Why are they holding their noses? Bad habit.

A wet Care Bare would look good to a bloody 13 year old boy! Where the heck is Lynn getting her preteen boy logic from?
