not all whites are privileged. I watched a video where they explained the concept by having everyone lining up for a race, then getting to take a step forward based on various factors in their lives. Those whose parents had wealth, went to better schools etc. got to start the race from closer to the finish line. It explained the concept really well. But I am a white male and I never got more than a step or two from the starting line. White privilege is a generalisation, and like most generalisations it may describe the experience of the majority, but it does not describe the specific circumstances of every individual. I work in retail and from time to time we have to keep an eye on someone who is acting suspicious, like they intend to shoplift, and more than once when that individual has not been white I’ve been accused of watching them because of their skin colour. I have often wanted to ask if they would react the same way if the person watching them was from the same ethnic background as them. In my world actions speak louder than any other factor.

Unfortunately, you are right. Even after we eventually get everyone on the same page, its going to take a bit of work to get things fixed.

Once again Latinos and Asians are totally ignored, thank you Keef.

Sigh. I remember when I read the comic section so I wouldn’t have to ponder these issues.
