Not to mention the number of remakes of long ago hit movies and TV shows tells me they simply don’t have any ideas. And that’s not even mention the continuation of a movie series (i.e. Toy Story 4, to name one).
And just how many “Fashion Model” “Body Builder” Zombie,Vampire, etc. Shows and Movies do we have to be subjected to ? Don’t leave out all the stupid “Reality” shows and court shows. I know to each their own.
This is why we have the CSBM network and cabinets of old shows and other shows that came out years back, like Burn Notice etc that we liked and bought. Plus movies (classics we like and others we liked plus all the Marvel movies (yeah I know but we love them anyway)……. So we pick out what we want to watch for the night and are happy and entertained, with no commercials.
We only got one channel reliably. There was a second one we could sometimes get, if someone went out and rotated the pole that the antenna was on, while someone inside would holler out the window if the picture came in.
IIRC, they had reruns. Then programs were marked as new and reruns weren’t indicated. Then we went to repeats. And last I knew (don’t watch much network television) we now have “encore presentations”. People asked for these?

Unless it’s CBS where they plumb the depths of the pond for shows.

When I was a kid, we had 13 channels. 10 of them showed static. The other 3 showed golf. I usually watched the static.
Now I have 200 channels. And I still prefer the static.
