Excellent, Scott. But, for the etymological record, to fail to deliver on a promise is to “reneg” – with 2 Es, no I. It is a shortening of “renegotiate”.
And “Gypsie” is an ethnic slur; the people it refers to are Roma.
A gay time was had by all. We want to cripple Iran’s funding of terrorists. Why is “Black Friday” still OK? It shouldn’t stand a Chinaman’s chance. We went Dutch at the restaurant, and the waiter tried to gyp me. …and we still have the Washington Redskins and the Florida State Seminoles. Am I beating a dead horse here? PETA would come after me, beat me like a rented mule.
I had a you kid ask me “Whuz zup Cracker?”He was very young, I was walking my dog near a playground that he and and a couple of friends were walking away from. I didn’t react just ignored them and kept walking but was close enough to hear the slightly older girl use a shushing tone and he asked her “Why? What’s it mean?”
On the fail to deliver on a promise, I hope he wasn’t implying that the word renege is racist. That would simply demonstrate Scott’s ignorance, much as so many people make the same error. The pronunciation of the word SOUNDS as if it might be racist, but it ain’t. (I used ain’t because it’s better than aresn’t)
What a feeble-minded projection of miscomprehension the last couple of Scott Meyer socio-political “gas bubbles” have been. This comic-book aficionado/philosopher then continues on by proving that as an accuser he is a hypocritical bag of self-righteous and self-aggrandizing hot air. Too utterly full of TDS to think coherently upon any subject more complicated than telling the same joke over with 3500 variations of the same basic theme, he should realize that his forte is basically “fifty ways to insult your friends & co-workers”.

Had this comic been published today, I would have thought he was referring to the incumbent Brazillian president when he said ‘Brazil nut’.

His last line reminds me of the group “The Dead South”.

Some years ago there was an attempt to change the name of Brazil nuts to Amazonians. It never stuck.

If “Honky” is permissible, then so are all the rest. You can’t have it both ways.
