This might be a good time to pay one of the neighborhood kids ten dollars to wash and vacuum the car for you. That way, you’d have more time to get ready for your HBO stand-up comic show.

When my first minivan was about 15 years old, I took it in to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix all the little problems. I did NOT have a heart attack!
The mechanic (who retired about 4 years ago, much to my horror), told me that until I could afford to get it fixed, I should NOT get the oil changed, the radiator flushed, or even wash it, because the dirt was literally holding parts of it together.
Then mom took my brother to Tampa, and some nasty car thief rear-ended them. No medidcal damage, but the minivan was totalled for some odd reason! Shocking, I tell you! That dirt was good as new!
