How often are the Umpires issued new uniforms, I would think the chances of wearing out a pair of pants are nil?
I knew an umpire whose pants split open when he squatted down to flip his egg while he fried it on the sidewalk.
How long do they have to wear it before it’s black enough?
Hopefully the underwear doesn’t split, too…
