For those wondering about the last panel, Johnny Hart, the creator of the comic strip B.C. was not shy about occasionally inserting his conservative Christian viewpoints in his work. I think B.C. is still being written and published by Hart’s grandsons.

All the food groups were attainable, until…the Stone! Now oxalates means I can look at them – or maybe one almond or one potato chip.

Sadly, most often it is not the students who choose their commencement speakers. On the other hand, they wouldn’t necessarily do a better job of selection….
