Reminded me of my son, an avid hiker and mountian climber. Went to a meeting where they discussed the scouts going up Mt Whitney. He started asking questions about did they do this preparation or that. Gettin “no” answers to everything he took charge of the “expedition” and arranged for a campout near the trailhead and they went part way up and back.

That’s Larry’s buddy from work next to him who, presumably, also has a son in the Cub Scouts. Should I have already known this?

Either a kid has three times as much stuff as needed or about half. My first Scoutmaster tried to limit us to 1/4 of our body-weight.

So much for the scout motto, ‘Be prepared’.

And those are the same people who complain and want people fired because of “how are we suppose to know/not my job” syndrome.
