If you don’t want Mittens to do something, don’t give him the chance to do it.
Get a faucet with a sensor, it will turn release water when motion is detected. The Mittens will then become more soggy than sassy if he slinks into the sink for a sneaky slurp.
The obvious solution is to put the dirty dishes on the floor so Early can get to them. That way, no Mitty in the sink!
