I was always amazed to see that everywhere I was while driving a Semi, at the first snow of the year, at least 75% of the vehicles in the ditches or the median were 4X4s or 4-wheel drive pickups. Just because you have 4 wheel drive DOES NOT MEAN that you will skid when you break traction!

P.S. Snow itself isn’t that bad. Ice, on the other hand,…

A snow storm forecasted for Saturday, fortunately some people don’t have drive to work, more room for sliding all over the place.

I’ll never know why they send the weather people out in a snow storm, a hurricane….stupid….it doesn’t impress anyone, but putting their lives in danger….just for ratings…..Boo Hiss

Any Canadian or Upper NY State driver vs. the south. My Sis-in-Law and her husband traveled the southern states a few winters ago. On one episode of “possible dangerous conditions” in Alabama, the state police told them that if they drive in the 2 centimeters of snow they’re risking their lives and will be getting a ticket. The trooper looked at the plate seen Ontario Canada, and tipped his hat, said have a nice day, and carry on. LOL

I lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 34+ years and usually the first vehicle I saw in the ditch/median were the 4 WD trucks or SUV’s…

Living in New England, either you or someone you know owns a 4×4 or AWD vehicle.Being an New Englander means you don’t have to.
