Oh, that is not bad- I had to learn playing the violin. I am still astonished that we weren’t thrown out of the house! Still can’t stand the sound of a single violin! (In an orchestra it is ok though).

In my house, 6 kids. All played at least one instrument. Piano, cello, drums, banjo and dulcimer, and I played tuba. That was all fine until my brother got bagpipes.

Oooooh I remember the days….obsessed until it was taken when not looking and hid it in a very high place!

I’m a pianist and I was dreading the recorder coming home. Bless the music teacher – he chose the ukulele instead, which I happily tuned each practice!

If he entered any music competitions right now, I don’t think he woodwind.

Funny: when I saw this strip this morning, I immediately thought about this one show of “Home improvement” where Brad learns to play Saxophone. And right now exactly this one is on the telly :-D

Glockenspiel. I had hand eye coordination issues, couldn’t read the music, and had no idea what tempo was. And the instrument weighed more than I did. Hauled it back and forth to school for 2 years before my parents finally gave up and said I had no musical talent. I knew that the first day when the hammer got stuck between the keys!

They were plastic at my school.

Plastic smoke would make more of an impression that mere wood smoke.

Could be worse- it could’ve been a melodica.
