My problem was, I was always listening to music outside the mainstream. It was new and exciting to me … and none of my friends either knew or cared about it. Still true today.
On the bright side, I still find new music that gives me pleasure, and when it is a young artist (younger than my kids, say), it makes me doubly happy.

I can’t remember when music wasn’t playing in my head. It’s constantly there.

Most pop music is complete garbage. Not just modern pop. All of it.
