Well good for you Frank. I said yesterday that she should be able to figure this problem out by herself. Of course I learned that by experience. When I was married (20+ years ago) I lived in VT. I had to take a business trip up to Montreal (45 minutes away). It was dark when I left to come home and I kept missing the entrance to the border. I drove back and forth and finally started asking people for help. I was totally ignored because I didn’t speak french. I even stopped at the police station and they wouldn’t help me either. In frustration I called my then hubby and instead of sympathy I got “what the heck do you expect ME to do about it, figure it out yourself.” I was totally shocked but realized he was right. There was nothing he could have done but maybe be a bit kinder in his response. Eventually I got on the right road and made it home safely. I learned a hard lesson that day but it stuck with me ever since. BTW my ex is still one of my best friends. He just needed to give me that kick in the pants.
