Prediction: The IRS will get much more aggressive over the next two years. (You heard it hear first, folks.)
But as always, this will generate so many complaints and horror stories that the IRS will be forced to pull back its fangs and pretend to be nicer for a while.
It’s a pattern I’ve seen repeated many times over the decades. Lather, rinse, repeat.

pschearer, (a) learn to spell “here;” (b) no, we’ve heard it elsewhere before; and (c) I don’t believe it – the IRS couldn’t be more aggressive if they were a rabid wolverine coming down off a meth high during mating season.
