He is literally running a errand, far from the vacuum.
Looks like a Kirby vacuum.
My wife boogers up the vacuum (Oreck) pretty regularly. I can’t think of another object that’s so awkward and clumsy to work on.
Prefer the canister style, quick empty ! Duct tape the cord ;-)

Many of us are kinda spacey.
That’s why I finally got a Roomba!
I can’t tell you how many times I had to fix the vac.
